Sesame + cacao balls

Ingredients (makes 24 balls - 45g each)

  • 2 cups almond meal (115g)
  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut (25g)
  • 1 cup pitted dates (150g)
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds (40g)
  • 1/2 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup tahini (117g)
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup toasted white sesame seeds - to roll them in 

 

Method

  1. in a food processor, blend the almond meal, coconut, dates, chia, cacao & salt until its a find crumble
  2. add in the remaining ingredients and blend until a firm mix forms, refrigerate for about half an hour
  3. roll the mix into balls, and then toss separately through the white sesame seeds, allowing it to stick
